Cal Poly Technology Park

Thoma Electric designed and built electrical systems for the 20,000 square foot Cal Poly Technology Park, which brings private industry to the Cal Poly campus to collaborate with both faculty and students for research and business development opportunities. The structure is equipped with flexible power, Category 6 data and communications, and mechanical systems to support research and development laboratories and offices. Each tenant has an allocation of standby emergency power for critical loads being powered within the building through power grid disturbances. The lighting design was finished with fixtures that are in harmony with the rural atmosphere on the agricultural region of the campus. In addition, parking lots feature electric vehicle charging capability and the building features energy efficient lighting systems and controls throughout.
